Part 4, Chapter 1: If you must find fault, this is the way to begin.

Principle: Begin with praise and honest appreciation

If you do need to be stern or have a discussion with someone about something they did wrong, start with praise.

Similar to the “drop of honey” chapter in part 3.

If you’re going to try to disagree with someone, praise them or compliment them about something else.

An example I thought of was saying something like, “I appreciate your passion on the topic and how important it is to you.” Then start with what you have to say.
